Tamara B. Pow JD MBA, is a founding partner of Structure Law Group, LLP. She advises  business owners and real estate investors on all aspects of business transactions, including liability protection and tax planning. Ms. Pow has extensive experience with the formation and representation of corporations, LLCs, LLPs, general partnerships and limited partnerships. She also handles 1031 exchange tax planning and other real estate matters, including purchase and sale agreements, due diligence reviews and leases.

Prior to founding Structure Law Group, LLP, Ms. Pow was an attorney in Hopkins & Carley's Corporate Advice & Transactions Department and the leader of the firm's Tax Practice Group. Prior to joining Hopkins & Carley in 1997, Mrs. Pow was a tax consultant at San Jose-based Price Waterhouse LLP, where she dealt with tax controversies, IRS and FTB audits, business planning issues and corporate and individual tax returns.

Ms. Pow is a member of many professional organizations, including the United States Tax Court, the Supreme Court of California and the District Court for the Northern District of California. She is also a member of the Mensa Society, the Santa Clara Bar Association, Barristers, Taxation and Business Law Sections, and she is the former chairperson of the Young Tax Lawyers Section. Ms. Pow also serves as a commissioner on the City of Cupertino Public Safety Commission.

Tamara Pow was voted one of Silicon Valley’s Top 40 Under 40 in the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Annual Top 40 Under 40 edition. She was featured in the May 16, 2008 edition of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal as one of “40 rising stars in the valley...all of them younger than 40.”

Ms. Pow holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of California at Davis School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the Davis Graduate School of Management. She received her Bachelor's Degree magna cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1996.
