Ms. Mezek is a corporate and international transactions attorney with a practice focusing upon company formation for both domestic and foreign companies, venture capital and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
Since her graduation from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Law School, Ms. Mezek has worked with clients from a variety of industries from online app companies to companies selling industrial products. She has assisted her clients with restructuring, joint ventures, and business expansions. Ms. Mezek routinely acts as "in-house" counsel to those companies which do not have in-house attorneys, executing numerous tasks from the drafting of a wide variety of contracts, to filing trademarks, to ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection laws.
Ms. Mezek is closely connected to her home country of Slovenia and has given talks to the US Embassy's Summer Student Programs in Slovenia on Doing Business in the U.S. and works closely with Slovenian companies expanding in the U.S. Further, Ms. Mezek has provided pro bono services to the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) as well as Unlikely Heroes which works to save girls from illegal sex trafficking.
