Craig A. Nichols

Attorney

Craig Nichols is a business attorney at Structure Law Group, LLP. He represents corporate and individual clients across a wide range of legal matters, including complex commercial disputes, employment law, contract matters, real estate, shareholder rights, and business torts.

Fluent in Spanish and having lived in Argentina, Craig brings a formidable advantage to the firm. His background combines the courtroom grit of a trial prosecutor with the precision of a transactional counsel and the financial acumen of a Silicon Valley analyst. He employs creative and aggressive litigation strategies when a courtroom battle cannot be avoided. Alternatively, he engineers pragmatic and cost-effective solutions to mitigate risk before it escalates. Craig always maintains his clients’ ultimate commercial and financial objectives at the exact center of his legal strategy.

Craig has a sophisticated transactional background handling specialized and multi-million-dollar development and infrastructure projects. His experience includes drafting complex transactional documents and structuring entity formations for heavily regulated tax credit and real estate development projects. He has successfully negotiated master development agreements, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and service-level agreements (SLAs). This granular understanding of transactional structuring allows him to identify operational vulnerabilities and resolve contractual breaches with exceptional precision.

Prior to focusing on private business practice, Craig developed fierce and adaptable advocacy skills as a prosecutor in Oregon and Washington. This extensive courtroom experience ensures he can decisively command a trial, examine witnesses, and present high-stakes evidence before judges and juries whenever necessary. His extensive trial background gives his commercial clients a distinct edge in any dispute.

What fundamentally separates Craig from traditional business attorneys is his extensive experience inside the tech industry before law school. He served as a Financial Analyst for Cisco Systems in Silicon Valley within its Leaders in Finance and Technology program. Craig has supported billion-dollar business units, managed key aspects of Cisco’s public financial reporting, and developed skills in corporate audits and financial controls. Because he speaks the literal language of corporate financial statements and risk analysis, Craig builds legal frameworks that protect a company’s bottom line rather than just its legal record.

As a first-generation college graduate and the first attorney in his family, Craig is a registered member of the Haudenosaunee on the Six Nations of the Grand River reserve in Ontario, Canada. Originally from Rochester, New York, he now proudly calls the Pacific Northwest home. He is a lifelong lacrosse enthusiast and avid Buffalo Bills fan. Outside the office, Craig can be found hiking, backpacking, and traveling the world with his wife and children.
