Karen (Xiaorong) Chen, Esq.

Karen (Xiaorong) Chen is a transactional corporate attorney with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, IPO, corporate governance and compliance, and commercial transactions. She has represented businesses in various stages of their lifecycles, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in a broad range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, real estate, pharmaceutical and others.

Karen is licensed to practice law in both California and China. Karen’s corporate practice includes public and private M&A, private equity, initial public offering, entity formations, corporate governance, corporate finance and restructuring, and general business matters.

Prior to joining Structure Law Group, Karen worked as an attorney for six years in the Shenzhen Office of one of China's largest law firms, Zhong Lun. She worked on numerous Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital transactions, as well as corporate governance and complex commercial transactions.

Karen received her LLM from Santa Clara University School of Law, a master of law degree from Xiamen University, China, and a B.A. in literature from Xiangtan University, China. Karen is bilingual, native in Mandarin Chinese and fluent in English.

In her free time, Karen likes reading, travelling, watching movies and spending time together with her family.
